Job Description

Position Summary:

The Clinical Training and Assessment Center ( CTAC ) Coordinator is responsible for coordination in planning, implementation and management of the CTAC operations.. Responsibilities including maintenance of a state-of-the-art simulation lab and its equipment, recruitment and management of simulated patients. The Athens CTAC coordinator works collaboratively with each academic campus CTAC coordinator under direction from the Director of Experiential Learning to provide support for student learning in the 4-year curricular program activities (OSCE's, TCC , etc.)

Primary Responsibilities:

-Recruit, hire, train, supervise, schedule and process payment for all standardized patients and instructors for use in the teaching, evaluation and remediation of students in CTAC and OMM labs.

-Supervise daily clinical skills and simulation activities that occur in learning environments, including routine coursework, BLS and ACLS , bootcamps and transition to residency programming. Implement faculty developed case materials and checklists for use in student activities designed to teach and assess clinical skills using Learning Space and other educational technologies. Support additional programming such as student clubs/organizations, additional programs, at the request of the College. -Develop and monitor budget for the CTAC . Manage the inventory and maintenance of educational equipment, simulators and supplies.

The successful candidate will have clinical knowledge and experience to effectively develop, set up and review processes of the medical simulation labs.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in direct healthcare field (nursing, PA, PT or related)
-3 years of relevant work related experience
-3 years of supervisory or managerial experience

Preferred Qualifications

-5 years of relevant work related experience
-5 years of supervisory or managerial experience
-Experience in medical education and patient simulations, clinical evaluation models and problem-based learning
